Who’s Invited To The Paid Leave Party?
The Act requires employers with at least one employee to provide paid leave. “Employee” in the Act has the same application and meaning as that provided in the Illinois Wage Payment and Collection Act and excludes independent contractors as well as certain railroad and student or other individuals employed less than full time or on a short-term basis for colleges and universities.
