Federal judge blocks California law requiring background checks for ammunition sales

A federal judge granted an injunction Thursday blocking California law that required background checks for all ammunition purchases. The judge granted the injunction stating that the law placed an undue burden on the plaintiffs, violating their Second Amendment rights.

The Safety For All Act forces people to purchase ammunition exclusively from licensed dealers and face to face. If they want to purchase a firearm or ammunition they must pay for a background check every time they wish to make a purchase.
