The US Supreme Court granted President Trump a stay on Monday, temporarily blocking an order by the US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit that required the president’s tax returns to be turned over to the US House Committee on Oversight and Reform.
This newest order follows a string of legal actions the Trump Administration has taken to block the release of the president’s tax returns. The initial action came after the US House Committee on Oversight and Reform subpoenaed the Mazars, USA, Trump’s accounting firm, to obtain eight years of Trump’s tax returns.
