U.S. Department of Labor Issues Guidance on Remote Workers

In its first Field Assistance Bulletin of the year, the U.S. Department of Labor (“DOL”) offered new guidance regarding the application of certain key federal employment laws — the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) and the Family and Medical Leave Act (“FMLA”) — to employees who work remotely.
